革を繋ぎ合わせ、糸でととのえ、漆を塗り重ねて作る「KUSARI」。
maison2.3 が初めて手がけたアクセサリーチェーンです。
革と漆という、自然由来の有機的な素材だけで構成されたこのシリーズは、完成までに1000〜2000時間を要します。
平安〜鎌倉時代の武具に使われていた「小札づくり」の技法に着想を得て、革職人が一枚一枚革を重ねて削り、組み合わせながらパーツを形成。そこに漆職人が漆を塗り重ねて仕上げていきます。その全ての工程は完全な手作業です。
伝統の技法を再構築し、優しい触り心地の革に漆で表情を加えたアヴァンギャルドな「KUSARI」はmaison2,3らしいかたちの一つです。
